Representatives from Anderson Brothers Bank today announced the promotion of Johnny Floyd to Marion County Executive. In this role, Floyd will direct the operations of Anderson Brothers Bank's offices in Mullins and in Marion. Floyd is based in the Mullins Main Street branch located at 101 North Main Street where he has served as Mullins City Executive since 2001.
A native of Nichols, Floyd joined Anderson Brothers Bank in 1998 as Loan Officer in the Mullins market, and he has over 26 years of experience in banking and commercial lending. He is a graduate of Francis Marion University, the South Carolina Bankers School and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. In addition, Floyd is a Graduate of Palmetto Leadership, Leadership South Carolina and the South Carolina Economic Development School.
Throughout his career, Floyd has demonstrated exemplary contributions in serving the Marion County community. He currently serves on the Marion Regional Healthcare System Board of Directors, Vice President of Wildlife Action, and he is a current member and past president of the Mullins Rotary Club. In addition, Floyd is a current member and past president of the Greater Mullins Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, past chairman of Marion County Progress, and in 2004 he was the recipient of the South Carolina Ambassador for Economic Development Award. Floyd has also received the Greater Mullins Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award and the Woodmen of the World Outstanding Citizen Award. He and his wife Kathy reside in Nichols and with their children, Tiffany, Blair and Blake.
Rusty Richardson, the bank's Sr. Vice President and Chief Credit Administrator, had led both Marion offices as City Executive since the bank constructed its first branch in the city in 1998. In 2007, Richardson was promoted to Chief Credit Administrator to oversee all of the lending functions of the bank, and in addition to his new duties, he continued to serve the bank as Marion's City Executive. As Richardson's role as Chief Credit Administrator has expanded and increased considerably, he identified this opportunity to transition the Marion branches unto Floyd's supervision.
"Johnny is an ideal candidate to oversee all branch operations in both Mullins and in Marion," said Richardson. "He is an exceptional banker with an outstand reputation in the community, and he has a keen knowledge of the Marion County market," Richardson added. "Johnny is a valuable asset to our bank and to our customers, and we are confident in his abilities to further enhance our continued growth in Marion County."
