River Bluff High School Boys Golf Team

Mullins, SC – April 2026 – Anderson Brothers Bank proudly hosted its 27th Annual High School Invitational Golf Tournament, bringing together top high school golfers from across the Southeast for a two-day showcase of talent, competition, and sportsmanship.

The tournament took place April 20–21, 2026, beginning at Darlington Country Club and concluding at Traces Golf Club in Florence.

From the opening moments, the event highlighted the energy and excitement of high school athletics, with players teeing off across beautifully maintained courses, coaches and families supporting from the sidelines, and teams competing at a high level throughout both rounds.

The invitational featured student-athletes from across South Carolina continuing a long-standing tradition of regional competition that has grown in both participation and prestige over the years.

Long-time participant River Bluff High School mounted a strong come-from-behind victory over James Island Charter and Trinity Collegiate. River Bluff’s second round score of eight under par 280, a tournament one-day scoring record, propelled them from an 11-shot deficit to victory.

Tournament medalist Howie Vroon and Sam Booth led the team with scores of 65 and 70, respectively. Howie Vroon won medalist honors with a three-hole playoff victory over Jamen Sanders. Howie and Jamen’s tournament total of 6 under par 136 separated them from the field, with their closest competitor, Davis Peevy, coming in at 140. Individual scoring was very strong, with seven players under par for the tournament.

Throughout the tournament, players demonstrated skill, focus, and determination as they navigated challenging course conditions. The event atmosphere captured more than just competition—it reflected teamwork, discipline, and the shared experience of young athletes striving for excellence.

The tournament concluded with recognition of standout performances, as teams gathered to celebrate achievements and sportsmanship at the close of play.
